Living Soil Potting Mix

Peat-free living soil potting mix for UK pots, containers and raised beds. We blend it in small batches using our hand-made compost, made on regenerative UK farmland and aged for at least 12 months, alongside coco coir, aeration materials, and selected organic and mineral amendments.

The mix is designed to support air and water movement around plant roots.

Sizes & prices

• 25L — £25: For a few containers or a small growing area.

• 45L — £45: For several containers or a small raised bed.

• 1,000L — £750: For market gardens, polytunnels, larger plots or multiple beds. Delivery is included in the £750 price.

What goes into our living soil?

Each small batch combines mature compost, coco coir, aeration materials, and selected organic and mineral amendments to form a peat-free growing medium.

Mature compost

Our compost is produced on regenerative UK farmland and aged for at least 12 months before it is used in our living soil.

Coco coir

Coco coir helps retain moisture and contributes to the structure of the growing medium.

Aeration materials

Aeration components help create spaces for air and water to move through the mix.

Organic and mineral amendments

These selected materials contribute nutrients and minerals. The balance a plant needs depends on the crop and growing conditions.

Using living soil

Choose this growing medium for suitable containers, raised beds, and larger growing areas. No growing medium guarantees a particular harvest. Follow guidance for your crop, water to suit the conditions, and check the soil as it is used and reused.
